Imagine your family waking up surrounded by the peaceful highlands of Colombia, where food forests, mountains, and coffee fields create an environment for connection to self, to community, and to nature. This is more than just a retreat center.This June 30th - July 30th, 2026, Cohli invites you - for our second year - to experience a 4-week coliving experience at Casa Sumpapaz, where you’ll find a place that feels like home and where each family member has the space to connect with others, rejuvenate, and experience how supportive it feels to connect with other families who share the same values.
About Casa Sumapaz
Casa Sumapaz is a holistic retreat center nestled in the tranquil mountains of Arbelaez, Colombia, just southwest of Bogotá. With an emphasis on well-being, environmental care, and mindful living, this center is designed to help guests reconnect with themselves, each other, and nature. Daily temperatures of 18-24°C keep things comfortable as you enjoy the lush forests, fresh air, and a strong sense of community care that is felt throughout Casa Sumapaz. What’s Included in the Coliving Experience
Your Own Family Sanctuary: Every family will enjoy two private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and cozy, eco-conscious touches—think fresh linens, natural toiletries, and furnishings crafted to help you feel comfortable and at home. Daily tidying is included, with deep cleaning offered every four days or on request.
Meals Made to Nourish and Connect: Meals are served 3 times a day buffet-style with fresh, organic, and local ingredients to nourish you. Sunday's are for enjoying the local food scene and potlucks. Meals are when come together daily as one big family.
Activities for All Ages: There’s something for everyone; walk along the trails through the coffee plantation or native forest; put your hands in the garden and feed yourself with the fruits and vegetables that grow from it, learning a bit of permaculture while you’re at it; take a swim in the natural pool; reconnect to your inner child in the hobbit house, where you can fly on the swing, walk the slack-line, climb the crazy ladder, balance on logs, and play other games. Co-working spaces with reliable Wi-Fi make it easy to balance work with family and play. Other activities like meditation, eco-art, and group discussions help deepen your connection to each other and the surrounding environment.
Our On-Site Kids Program: Lead by our children's facilitator, Lorena, who has expertise running children's programs in highly reputable eco-villages, the children will be enriched with different activities, projects, and exploration using the natural surroundings, all alongside their new best friends. This program is offered on-site on weekdays while parents are given the space to focus on work or something else. Parents are encouraged to join as much as they want.
Colombian Cultural & Mind-Body Immersion: Explore the beauty of the region and other services through optional weekend experiences like yoga, temazcal (a traditional steam ritual), visits to local cocoa farms, river excursions and more. These experiences let you sink into the rhythms of Colombia and bond as a family.

Afterwards, you'll move on to complete a short application to tell us about your family's goals, values, and needs. You'll then receive an invitation to join our community space to access these exclusive co-living experiences, connect with other Cohli families, and more.
Step 2: Get Matched & Meet Your Group. We’ll review your application to build a balanced community. If selected in the first round, you’ll be invited to join a virtual meet-up with other selected families in order to for all parties to get a feel of the group and answer any questions.
Step 3: Confirm & Prepare for Colombia. You'll secure your spot with a booking payment, and receive onboarding guidance with travel tips, schedules, and group chat access.

What’s included in the co-living experience?

Reserve your spot with a deposit, which is the equivalent of your 4-week stay. If minimum occupancy isn’t met, we’ll refund your deposit in full.Can we customize our experience?
